Black Pepper Essential Oil (10 mL)

RM 104.00

Black Pepper essential oil has a dry, fresh, woody, sensual and spicy fragrance. Therefore, use just a small amount to provide a nice edge to fragrance blends. The strong and sharp spicy fragrance is reminiscent of clove oil. But more refined.

Pepper was one of the spices inspiring the Spice Trade. And, this trade was dominated in turn by the Arabs, Venetians, Portuguese, Dutch and the British. They all fought to monopolise the world’s most popular spice from the Far East. Notably, this is part of the history of Penang Island, the home of Indochine Natural.

Although Black Pepper itself is used, the oil is not so widely known.

The aroma is reminiscent of freshly ground peppercorns but is a bit more complex. The oil has one major advantage: it doesn’t irritate your eyes or make you sneeze like ground peppercorns.

This is not an oil you would use in a diffuser or blend on its own. But, it can add heat and spice to essential oil blends. Also, ideal to bring together fleeting top notes, and heavy base notes. A few drops of Black Pepper essential oil can improve other essential oils, perfume blends, and specialised massage formulations.

Do not exceed a concentration of 2%. Always avoid damaged skin and mucous membranes to avoid irritation.

Blends Well With:

Black pepper essential oil is considered a middle to base note, and its warm and spicy aroma blends nicely with bergamot, clary sage, lavender, and ylang-ylang.
