Toss Out Your Moisturizer

Face oils have swept into the skin care sector. They have changed beauty regimens overnight. This is for some great reasons. First, face oils are all-natural. Second, they penetrate skin to provide a soft glow. At the same time, they moisturise.

Why are facial oils better than creams? The ingredients of many skin creams include various waxes with some oils. Synthetic fragrance ingredients and preservatives are common in creams. While waxes can form a barrier to help retain skin moisture, the downside is that these waxes build up and cause blocked pores. Plus, they also prevent the penetration of the oil components of the cream. Remember, it is the oil component that contributes significant skin benefits.

In comparison, when natural oils are applied to the skin, they are absorbed into the top layers of the epidermis. Here they go to work to improve the lipid barrier function. Often you will notice immediate results from the first application. After continual use of a few weeks, the replenished lipid barrier will provide the skin with a noticeable healthy glow.

Do not dab any oil you can find on your face. Look for oils specifically for the face, otherwise you could end up with clogged pores.

It is best to use facial oils when the skin is damp, either after washing your face or by using a face mist. A small amount of oil will give good results.

Facial oils made for moisturising and softening aren’t just for dry skin types anymore. Anyone, even oily skin types, can enjoy the soothing, nourishing properties of natural face oil. A well-formulated face oil blend is quick absorbing. It is non-greasy and gentle enough for everyone.
