Soap V.s SYNDET bars
Not all are created equal. Although they may appear similar, soap differs from a SYNDET (SYNthetic DETergent).
They make syndets using blends of synthetic surfactants. These have a lower pH. But unfortunately are also a more ‘pathogen-friendly pH. So, it is necessary to add preservatives to Syndets. They are usually recommended for cleansing sensitive skin. ”
